PEDESTRIAN PATHS
The Board has constructed pedestrian paths on the following roads.
1.
Mall Road
2. Carriappa Road
3.
Road leading Sadar Bazar
The Board proposes to construct
pedestrian path on the following roads.
1. Brooten Street
2. CDA Road
3. Dogra Temple to Mall Road crossing (Peer Baba)
The estimated cost would be Rs 25
lacs.
SHIFTING OF ELECTRIC POLES ON WIDENED ROADS
The
shifting of electric poles existed in the middle of roads have been shifted
on one side of the road.
1.
Police Street
2. Circular Road
3.
Abu Lane
During plan period the total cost of widening of roads, construction of
pedestrian path and shifting of electric poles would be Rs 20 lacs.
ROAD INTERSECTIONS
Some
of the road junctions have been improved by providing round abouts/water
falls etc. They are as under:
1. Roorkee
Road Crossing
2. 3 round abouts on Mall Road

Sophia School Crossing
4.
Telephone Exchang
Some of the roads junctions need development during the plan period are
1. Bhagat
Chowk
2. Volga
Crossing
3. Supply
Depot Crossing near Hazari ki Piao
The estimated cost to improve the
Roads Junction would be Rs 15 lacs.
PUBLIC MARKET
The
Board maintains public markets namely:-

Delhi Abu Lane Road
2.
Sanjay Gandhi Market
3.
Vikas Market
4.
Rohta Phatak
5.
Boundary Road
Proposed cost for the construction
of new vegetable market is Rs 200 lacs under SFS.
