The Board does not have any auditorium for cultural function of the school students. The Board proposes Rs 50 lacs for new auditorium.

The Board has constructed one community Hall at BC Bazar. For the completion of Community Hall additional amount of Rs 65.00 lacs is required for which the proposal has already been submitted to Command HQ. There is need for two more Baratghar for weaker section. The estimated cost of construction would be Rs 20 lacs.

Chat Market is in operation. The shops are in the shape of tin sheds constructed by Board and allotted to the persons by the Board. The Chat bazaar in Meerut Cantt is very famous in the Public. The estimated cost for maintenance and renovation during the plan period would be Rs 3.00 lacs.

The Board is maintaining two slaughter houses which requires improvement. It is proposed to renovate the existing slaughter house at an cost of Rs 5.00 lacs during the plan period.

The present Dhobighat is located near circular road along Abu Nala. The Board proposes to renovate the existing infrastructure of Dhobi Ghat at an estimated cost of Rs 5 lacs.

The Cantonment Board has recently renovated the office building. Sufficient space is available for employees. The office building has been so nicely renovated, the person visiting office appreciate the renovation work done by the office. Some of the area is still left for renovation Rs 10 lacs has been proposed during the plan period.

The space for keeping stores is inadequate. The present building is very old and outlived, hence it requires complete renovation at a cost of Rs 20 lacs.

Presently there is separate building for a workshop. The space available is adequate. The condition of present conservancy vehicles has become bad due to having no service facility in the Cantonment Board. The Board also proposes to create service facility for maintaining the condition of Cantt Board vehicles. Rs 05 lacs has been proposed.

In the modern age the computer is a basic need of today for efficiency and reduction of manpower. The Cantonment Board has old computers which are presently being used for typing purposes. It is proposed to renovate one of the room as Computer room and provide new computers with all facilities. The Board proposes Rs 10 lacs for installation of computer with all facilities during the current year.

At present Cantonment Board of Meerut has one guest house known as Aashiana Guest House. The same has been maintained properly with all facilities.

At present Cantonment Board have 249 staff quarters. Out of these quarters 199 have been allotted to IV class employees and 50 quarters to class III employees. The Board has proposed to provide Rs 65 lacs for their maintenance during plan period.

The Cantt Board has forwarded the following proposals for seeking sanction of the posts.

Due to shortage of strength under head F5 (a) i.e. water supply. The Board hires labour from labour contractor for smooth functioning of the water supply.
